Global Entry Traveler Program

Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program, which allows approved members to go through expedited customs clearance at select U.S. airports.

How it works ?

Subscribers approved for the Global Entry program must go to specific kiosks for this purpose in airports that apply this program, and follow the following steps:
• Show their passports or permanent resident card of the United States,
• Scan their fingerprints to verify the person’s identity,
• Complete a customs declaration,
• Take the transaction receipt issued by the terminal,
• Collect your luggage.

Subscription to the Global Entry program:

Travelers must be pre-approved for the Global Entry program, in order to benefit from the privileges granted to membership in this program.

So, to be accepted, all you have to do is do the following:

First: Submit your application online, for $ 100 USD
For the application for access to the Global Entry program, it is necessary to present the following documents:
• Proof of citizenship
• Passport
• Proof that the candidate is authorized to enter the United States
• Permanent Resident Card (for legal permanent residents of the United States), which must have a machine-readable area.
• A valid driver’s license
• Proof for the validity of the current address
In addition to these papers, it is also important to give the following information:
• An email address (to create a login.gov account)
• A history of addresses for the last five years
• A history of jobs over the past five years
• A history of international travel over the past five years
• Legal documents (in the event of an offense other than a traffic violation)
• Vehicle information (if the candidate wishes to cross the border between Mexico and the United States)
• Telephone numbers
• Documentation proving any other citizenship (if applicable)

Second: Register for the Global Entry program
All applicants undergo a rigorous background check and in-person interview prior to registration.
Once approved, applicants can complete their interviews upon arrival in the United States during an Enrollment on Arrival (EoA), or by making an appointment at an enrollment center.

Third: Membership
Once accepted, the candidate will be able to benefit from the advantages of this Global Entry program for 5 years.

Note:
Login.gov is an authentication platform used by government agencies in the United States, so they can streamline the login process and allow the public to securely access personal information and federal government services.

International Agreements:

To facilitate the travel of its members who are not American citizens or legal permanent American residents, several agreements have been signed with several countries, which are: Argentina, Australia, Canada, Colombia, Germany, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom.

However, they must keep their visa information up to date with CBP in the event of visa renewals.
This is because, if the visa information is incomplete or not properly updated with CBP, the Global Entry kiosk may incorrectly calculate the member’s admission class and admission date. Because of this, the person concerned must go to an enrollment center in person to add or update their visa information.

The advantages of the Global Entry Program:

All applicants accepted to the Global Entry program can enjoy the following benefits:
• Reduced waiting times at airports, thanks to self-service kiosks or the use of E-Gates facial comparison technologies.
• No document to fill out by hand.
• Includes TSA Pre✓® program
• Use Global Entry customs kiosks at over 75 US airports after traveling abroad.

Important:
In the event that the Global Entry password is forgotten, the traveler must log into the Trusted Traveler program website to obtain their PASSID, and KTN.

In the event that the Global Entry member traveler is unable to log into their account, they should access the https://www.login.gov/help/ page for answers to some common login questions.

If a member has previously applied through GOES, they can link that account information to their Login.gov account, by providing one of the following on the Account Profile page:
• Their membership number / PASSID
• His FAST ID (assigned only to those who have already submitted a FAST request)

Global Entry members can find their membership or PASSID numbers on the back of their Trusted Traveler cards (top left corner) or by logging into their accounts.
