United Airlines launches seasonal flight between Tokyo-Narita and ulaanbaatar

United Airlines has launched a new route between Tokyo-Narita and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The inaugural flight from the Japanese airport, scheduled for May 1 this year, will connect passengers via the Tokyo hub with the Mongolian capital.

“Today, it is with great excitement that we announce this new route to Ulaanbaatar. This new route allows United Airlines to continue expanding air connectivity through the Tokyo-Narita hub in Japan, strengthening our presence in the East Asian market,” said Patrick Quayle, senior vice president of global network planning and operations at United.

Ulaanbaatar becomes United Airlines’ first destination in Mongolia. “This new destination confirms the importance and potential of this market for United Airlines, with more connection options to Asia and with several connections to America,” he added.

The new flight will operate with three weekly frequencies, until October 12, 2025. For this direct flight, United Airlines will operate a modern Boeing 737-800 with the capacity to carry 166 passengers in two cabins, including 16 in Business Class.
