Alaska Airlines wants to rejuvenate and boost the performance of its fleet
Alaska Airlines has taken delivery of its first 737 MAX. The number of 737 MAXs ordered by Alaska Airlines is 68. This includes orders for 52 MAX 8s, 15 MAX 9s and 11 MAX 10s. All of these aircraft will be delivered in 2019 and 2020.
After that, 13 additional MAX 8s, 15 MAX 9 additional and 4 additional MAX 10 will be delivered in 2021, 2022 and 2023. In 2024, 12 additional MAX 8, 14 additional MAX 9, 2 additional MAX 10 and 1 additional MAX 11 will be delivered. The first Boeing 737 MAX 8 has already arrived in Seattle on January 14.
The airline began operating the aircraft on March 1. Boeing 777s are large passenger aircraft that carry up to 450 passengers. They are used by airlines for long distance flights. These planes take off and land vertically. This allows the aircraft to take off quickly and land easily.
