Cape Air launches flights between Anguilla and St. Thomas
Cape Air, an airline specializing in destinations in the United States and the Caribbean, inaugurated daily flights between the Caribbean islands of Anguilla and Saint Thomas on November 20. In the region, the company already connects Anguilla to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and the British and American Virgin Islands.
In addition to this new option for residents and visitors to the area, on December 11 American Airlines’ two new weekly flights between Miami and Anguilla will begin operating, which will have a third weekly frequency starting January 5. For Brazilians, with this new flight, Anguilla will only be one connection away.
Another new flight recently announced is that of Sky High Aviation, which has restored its weekly service between the Dominican Republic and Anguilla. The flight operates every Thursday, departing from Las Américas International Airport in Santo Domingo.
Anguilla was recently named one of the world’s must-visit destinations for 2022 by global travel publication Lonely Planet and was the only Caribbean country to be recognized in the top 10 destination category. And again, according to another publication, Travel + Leisure, Anguilla is 5th in the list of the 25 best islands in the Caribbean, and 22nd in the list of the 25 best islands in the world.
