Bulky, heavy and oversized baggage? Delta Air Lines offers you its excess baggage rates

If you want to travel with DAL, the US airline will love helping you feel hassle-free and ready to travel and understand everything you want to know about your luggage, before, during and after your trip. More than 24 hours after booking your flight, you can check in and tell Delta how many bags you want to carry with you on the plane.

Oversized and overweight luggage, what does Delta Air Lines say?

If you are bringing a purse or 2 or even 3 out of 10, read the instructions for the associated costs. Keep in mind that there are different charges for each limit a passenger exceeds: including dimensions, weight, or volume limitations. For objects with special dimensions, weight or shape, you can evaluate them using the online calculator.

If you are bringing checked baggage, follow the instructions to ensure it meets these requirements; otherwise, it may be subject to additional charges.

The US airline may limit the amount of excess baggage when it prevents it from carrying up to 2 bags per passenger.

For more information on checked baggage limitations, please see the Excess Baggage page (Excess Baggage page).

Delta Air Lines and Delta Connection carriers accept excess baggage based on availability. If the baggage cannot be transported on the exact same flight that you took, it will be transported on a fert plane.

Cameras, and audio equipment will be accepted if offered by agents of local or network broadcast companies or corporate film companies.

Any baggage exceeding the allowance indicated on the ticket: the quantity of pieces, the size or the weight is approved in the meantime.

Bags that do not meet the dimensions and weight limits will require special handling and additional charges.

Some areas may also have additional limitations. Please see details below. All baggage charges listed below are all present and applicable to many tickets from the time Delta’s baggage rules were applied.

Watch out for extra baggage expenses if you are traveling to the United States, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or Puerto Rico.
