Rules for transporting hand baggage (Carry-on bags) in United Airlines cabins
For travel worldwide on United, you may carry on one bag and one personal item such as a purse, briefcase, or laptop computer. A carry-on bag must fit under your seat or in the overhead bin. Plastic bags must be completely sealed and will be x-rayed separately at security checkpoints.

Needles or syringes for medical use are permitted exceptions as long as the passenger has a prescription with identification from the doctor, hospital, pharmacy or the manufacturer of the product.

United Airlines Baggage Firearms
International regulations require that firearms always be declared and transported unloaded, regardless of the mode of transport. Firearms are not permitted in carry-on baggage.
