Easily pay for your reservation using the American Express Card

The holder of a classic American Express card participates in the financial organization’s Membership Rewards loyalty program.

Any payment made with an American Express card is rewarded with Membership Rewards points according to the scale: 1 $ spent = 1 MR point.

Accumulated MR points are convertible into miles and other types of loyalty points in the programs of over 20 American Express partner airlines, hotel chains and rail carriers. The exchange rate varies by program.

Purchases made from United Airlines with the additional cards will earn the primary cardholder MR points. Expenses are always debited from the bank account attached to the main card.

The American Express Platinum card includes an unlimited Priority Pass membership, opening the doors of 1,300 airport lounges around the world. Priority Pass allows entry into a lounge regardless of the company you borrow, including when traveling in economy class and without any loyalty status. The Priority Pass via American Express member can invite one person to accompany them to the lounge free of charge, even if they are not traveling on the same flight. Four people thus have access to the lounges of the Priority Pass network by adding the holders of the main card and the additional Amex Platinum card and their guests.

The advantage of American Express cards is their backing to Membership Rewards, a flexible loyalty program that opens up vast opportunities to optimize the value of the points acquired.

The traveler who wishes to make the trip on a United plane will also benefit from Membership Rewards points. At Star Alliance, the number of miles required for a flight varies up or down depending on how full the aircraft is. Only holders of a classic American Express card will be able to benefit from the price difference for the same flight between several loyalty programs.

Frequent travelers will love the Unlimited Priority Pass membership with the American Express Platinum card. Accessing a Priority Pass network lounge comes in handy when you do not qualify to enter a United Airlines lounge while traveling. A privilege to share with family, friends, colleagues, …

American Express adapts BNPL to airline tickets

Members of the American Express U.S. Consumer Card will now be able to book airline tickets with United through the Plan It service offered by the payment giant.

This service is associated with a deferred payment solution based on the Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) model, eligible for purchases over $ 100.

Consumers opting for this option will therefore be able to decide to pay for their purchases of plane tickets by dividing them into several monthly installments.
