Delta Airlines to Resume Nonstop Flight from Eastern Iowa Airport to Atlanta
Delta Airlines will restart daily nonstop service between the Eastern Iowa Airport and Atlanta on March 2.
Airport manager Marty Lenss said Monday that the airport charges the airline might need a trip to and from Atlanta “for today”. Delta averaged two flights between Cedar Rapids and Atlanta before the pandemic.
It will be a 76-seat regional aircraft replacing a 110-seat Boeing 717, which was once on the Cedar Rapids-Atlanta route.
With the reintroduction of nonstop flight from Atlanta, all nonstop flights 1 through 5 from Cedar Rapids airport will be usable.
Delta also provides non-stop flights to Detroit and Minneapolis.
