United Airlines expands codeshare agreement with Singapore Airlines
United Airlines has strengthened its code-share partnership with Singapore Airlines, opening the doors to several new destinations in Singapore and other Southeast Asian countries.
Since yesterday, passengers of the American airline can book UA-coded flights operated by Singapore’s air carrier flying to Bandar Seri Begawan, Siem Reap, Kuala Lumpur and Penang, Denpasar, Jakarta and Surabaya, Perth and Male. Flights are serviced from Singapore Changi Airport.
For their part, Singapore Airlines customers thus benefit from a simplified and harmonized journey with a single plane ticket, from baggage tracking provided during their connection with baggage allowances identical to those offered on United Airlines flights and can also earn points by traveling on codeshare flights to Austin, Sacramento, Phoenix, Baltimore, Boise, Cleveland, Denver, Honolulu, Tampa, Las Vegas and Orlando. Flights all depart from Los Angeles Airport.
With this agreement, the two Star Alliance airlines offer more than sixty flights per week in code sharing.
Eligible United Airlines customers enjoy access to Singapore Airlines lounges at the various airports served.
